 Iowa Farmland Prices 2015

The most recent report on farmland prices in Iowa has been released from Iowa State University showing a decline in farmland values of 3.9% across the state of Iowa.

These declines come on the heels of declining farm income since 2013 and represents the second year in a  row farmland prices have fallen in Iowa.  The survey makes many notes about the correlation between farmlands ability to produce income and its value and its lack of a steep decline as many elected.  Compared to the farm crisis of the 80’s when we saw 5 years of straight decline and many of them steep declines the picture is much different today.
